REMEMBER THAT YOU ONLY HAVE TO USE SDSTOOL IF THE MOD COMES WITH .DDS FILES.
Example: modname v1.0 (sds) // modname v1.0 (dds)
THIS IS IMPORTANT: Make sure to back up your old files !! better full non modified "sds" directory !!
You will need the SDSTool which can be found here:

1: Open SDSTool and locate your Mafia game directory.
2: Open Downloaded mod and extract where you want (if you want), if you dont know how to open .rar files, use this:
7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio

3: Open extracted directory, read readme.txt file and then open mod folder.
4: You will find some folders or one single folder (that deppends of the mod you have downloaded), in this case is one folder named "ground", open it and you will see other folder in this case "ground_leto". REMEMBER that 2 directory names and go to SDStool.
5: Locate "ground" and then click on ground_leto.sds and extract that .sds package (arrow)
6: Open extracted folder and replace THERE original files with the downloaded ones, then repack .sds archive (left arrow)
7: Play the game and have fun
